Scoring the Silence: Composing a New Score for a Silent Thriller

Experience the art of silent cinema re-imagined through powerful new music.
Join acclaimed composer and conductor Scott Good as he shares the creative process behind his two-hour original score for the 1924 silent horror classic “The Hands of Orlac”.

All YAO orchestra members and YAPCA chamber players will participate in a special workshop at the Palace Theatre, 710 Dundas St, London. Bring your instruments. Call time 5:00 pm with a public event from 6:00-7:00 pm - doors open 5:50 pm.

Forest City Film Festival presents “The Hands of Orlac”

The celebrated psychological thriller will be performed live by a specially assembled orchestra, including senior YAPCA violins, acclaimed pianist Gregory Oh, and renowned soprano Stacie Dunlop. The score has been re-orchestrated to feature the magnificent Casavant Frères pipe organ of Metropolitan United Church, alongside a choir, promising a visceral and immersive cinematic experience.
